A 15-year-old boy was fatally stabbed in a school in Sheffield (England) resulting in an outpouring of grief.
Former England captain Michael Vaughan as questioned media apathy back home over the coverage of the news of a teenager being fatally stabbed at school in Sheffield. According to reports in British media, a 15-year-old boy named Harvey Willgoose was injured at All Saints Catholic High School (Granville Road) and was attended to by the paramedics but died later on Monday.
Vaughan, one of England’s finest cricketers, was born in Manchester before moving to Sheffield when he was nine. He went on to play 82 Tests, 86 ODIs and 2 T20Is between 1999 and 2008.

As per BBC, a 15-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is in police custody.
“It is with immense shock and sorrow that I have to inform you that one of our students was fatally stabbed. Tomorrow (Tuesday), school will be closed for all students and further information sent out to you with any updates,” Sean Pender, headteacher of the school, wrote to parents in a message.
“We will ensure that there are counselling and support services available for any student and staff member directly affected by this tragic incident. We are currently working with the police as part of their investigation into this fatality. Our thoughts and prayers are with our student who we lost today and his family. Please remember them and our whole school community in your thoughts and prayers,” reads the message.
According to The Star, the school was put into lockdown by the police following the tragic incident before the students were allowed to leave in small groups. Students at a neighbouring school were also subject to a lockdown as a precautionary measure.
