Ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auctions, all 10 IPL franchises on Thursday (October 31) released the list of players they have retained. Many top players were retained by their existing teams ahead of the new season of the cash-rich league, but few players decided against continuing with the same team and will now enter the mega auction.

Here’s a look at five Indian players who will enter IPL 2025 mega auctions and can earn big bucks:

Rishabh Pant: Rishabh Pant was associated with Delhi Capitals in the IPL since 2016 but is now set to enter the IPL auction after he was not retained by the Delhi-based franchise. The 27-year-old Indian stumper is one of the biggest names that is set to be part of the IPL 2025 mega auctions. Pant is a good captaincy option as well for the teams, along with his wicketkeeping, and he is also capable of winning matches single-handedly with the bat.

Shreyas Iyer: Shreyas Iyer led KKR to the IPL title win in 2024, but despite that, he was released by the Kolkata-based franchise ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auctions. Iyer is the only captain to lead two IPL teams in the final, and because of his leadership skills, he will be highly in demand. The Mumbai-based right-handed batter is also a very talented middle-order batter who can win matches on his own.

KL Rahul: Despite being the leading run scorer for LSG in IPL history, KL Rahul was not retained by the Lucknow-based franchise and will now enter the IPL 2025 mega auctions. The 32-year-old top-order batter has 4683 runs to his name in 132 matches played so far in the cash-rich league since making his debut in 2013. Rahul will be in demand because of his leadership as well as captaincy skills.

Arshdeep Singh: Arshdeep Singh is one of the best T20 bowlers of present times and is capable of doing well both with the new ball and in death overs. The left-arm pacer finished as the joint leading wicket-taker in the T20 World Cup 2024, and many teams would like to acquire his services in the mega auctions.

Ishan Kishan: Mumbai Indians have released wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auctions. Kishan is also an aggressive top-order wicketkeeper-batter who can change the match in a span of few deliveries. He was signed for Rs 15.25 crore by MI in IPL 2022 mega auctions, and teams are expected to get engaged in a bidding war to acquire his services.

Apart from the above-discussed players, cricketers like Washington Sundar, Mohammed Shami, Mohammed Siraj, and Yuzvendra Chahal will be part of the IPL 2025 mega auctions.
