Team India will face archrivals Pakistan in the Champions Trophy 2025 match on Sunday, February 23. The high-voltage Group A match between the two teams, which also faced each other in the final of the 2017 Champions Trophy, is scheduled to take place at Dubai International Cricket Stadium from 2:30 PM IST onwards. The Rohit Sharma-led side will start as favourites to win the match due to its recent form in ODI cricket.
India hammered Bangladesh by 6 wickets in the last Champions Trophy 2025 match played on Thursday, whereas Pakistan went down by 60 runs against New Zealand in Karachi on Wednesday, February 19.
The match in Dubai on Sunday will be India’s first 50-over clash against Pakistan since the ODI World Cup 2023 match played between the two teams in Ahmedabad on October 14, 2013.
India has done well in the recent ODI matches played between the two teams, and under Rohit Sharma’s leadership, the world No. 1 ODI team would like to come up with another clinical performance on Sunday and take a big step towards qualification in the Champions Trophy 2025 semifinal.

India beat Pakistan by 228 runs in Colombo (September 10-11, 2023)
Team India secured its biggest win in ODIs over Pakistan during the Asia Cup 2023 Super Four match, which was played over two days due to rain at R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. Riding on unbeaten centuries from Virat Kohli (122) and KL Rahul (111) and fifties from Rohit Sharma (56) and Shubman Gill (58), India posted a total of 356 runs on the board for the loss of two wickets in 50 overs, and then Kuldeep Yadav’s 5/25 in eight overs helped India bowl Pakistan out for 128 runs in 32 overs.
No Result in Pallekele (September 2, 2023)
The Asia Cup 2023 Group A match between India and Pakistan in Pallekele on September 2, 2023, got washed out due to rain. Hardik Pandya’s 87 and Ishan Kishan’s 82 helped India post a total of 266 runs on the board, but due to rain, the Pakistan team couldn’t come out to bat, and both teams were awarded one point each.
