Nonetheless, they will look to make use of whatever time they can get on the field as they will be taking on the former World Test Champions, an opponent of high calibre which will give the Afghanistan side a taste of what a top-class opposition looks like.
For New Zealand, this game will be used as preparation for their upcoming three-match series against India in October. The Kiwis will hope to get some game time under their belts to get themselves in peak form ahead of the India Tests.
