Team India and England face off against each other for the fifth and final time in the ongoing T20I series in Mumbai on Sunday as the hosts look to add to their unassailable lead in the series.
England won the toss and skipper Jos Buttler chose to field first in an attempt to save pride in their final T20 outing of the bi-lateral series.
Buttler, however, made a cheeky remark at the toss as he named his side’s ‘impact players’ in a dig at India’s controversial concussion substitution in the preceding game.
“And our four impact subs today are Reham Ahmed, Saqib Mahmood, Jamie Smith and Gus Atkinson,” the English captain said in a tongue-in-cheek manner after winning the toss at Wankhede.
India wrapped up the series with their win in the fourth game of the series. The men in blue opened the series with back-to-back wins before going down to a defeat against the English in the third fixture.
“We played some good cricket in patches. We should have executed it better though,” Buttler said.
“Need to grab the special moments in the game,” he recollected.
“There’s a good vibe in the team, it’s a good venue and it’s a great crowd,” he added.
Buttler named the one change his side had made to the final T20I as pacer Mark Wood comes back into the side for the game in Mumbai.
“It’s a good wicket, Mark Wood comes back in,” he added.
