Rocky Flintoff, son of legendary English all-rounder Andrew ‘Freddie’ Flintoff, demonstrated incredible craft with the willow in hand to post a century against the Cricket Australia XI for the English Lions on Thursday.
Rocky, who came in to bat at No.9 for the English Lions at the Allan Border Field, went on to smash 108 runs off just 127 deliveries to help the Lions post 319 in reply to CA’s 214.

To make it all the more special, his father Andrew, who is also the coach of the young England setup, bore witness to his son’s landmark innings from the dugout.
The youngster, who penned a contract with Lancashire last year, was a surprise call-up to the tour, but has been in good touch in recent times and has merited his spot in the Lions’ unit under his dad.

Rocky managed to make an incredible 108 off 181 deliveries in July to become the youngest English batter to reach the milestone three figures for the Lions.
The 16-year-old shows traces of his maverick father on the field as the similarities do not stop with just the looks, but also bats and walks like the mercurial all-rounder Freddie used to.

With a promising start to his career, pundits and followers envisage a two-decade career for the young Flintoff, who is set to carry on the family legacy in the English drip.
