Sri Lanka’s Galle International Stadium will stage the two-test series against Australia in late January-early February next year.
Australia will play two Test matches in Sri Lanka early next year as part of the ICC World Test Championships, the cricket board in Colombo announced Friday.
The series will pitch currently second ranked Australia against third ranked Sri Lanka, according to WTC standings.
The first Test will begin from January 29, while the second is scheduled to start on February 6.
Both matches will be played at the Galle International Cricket stadium.
The Australians will also stay on for a One Day International on February 13, Sri Lanka Cricket said in a statement.
Australia last toured Sri Lanka in an all-format series in 2022, with the hosts winning the ODI series and the visitors taking victory in the Twenty20 international series, while both teams won one test match each.
Australia tour of Sri Lanka:
Jan. 29-Feb. 2: First test – Galle
Feb. 6-10: Second test – Galle
Feb. 13: ODI – Venue TBC
