Having notched a historic win in the ODI series, Pakistan are now set to play three T20Is against Australia. The opening fixture will be hosted at The Gabba in Brisbane on November 14. The visitors will be led by Mohammad Rizwan, who recently became the second Pakistan captain after Waqar Younis to win a bilateral ODI series on Australian soil. The Men in Green have never triumphed in an away T20I series against the Aussies. Rizwan-led Pakistan will aim to achieve the feat during the ongoing tour.
For the upcoming Border Gavaskar Trophy, most of the senior members of the Australian side will be absent from the T20I series against Pakistan. The hosts have an inexperienced team which will be led by Josh Inglis. They will miss the service of Cooper Connolly who broke his hand in the last ODI game in Perth. Josh Philippe has replaced him in the T20I squad. Pakistan are heading to the series with a formidable bowling unit featuring the trio of Naseem Shah, Shaheen Shah Afridi and Haris Rauf.
