There’s pace, there’s bounce, there’s age old rivalry. Australia, we have arrived.”

The Indian men’s cricket team is sweating it out at WACA Ground for their upcoming challenge that involves facing current world champions Australia in a five-match Test series starting November 22. And they they have released a clip showing a glimpse from their training session with members of Indian coaching staff including Abhishek Nayar, Morne Morkel and Ryan ten Doeschate sending the message to their hosts: “We’ve arrived”.

The clip shows Indian players arriving at the venue in the company of the support staff for a training session.

Virat Kohli can be seen facing newcomer Harshit Rana in the nets and having a chat with the youngster while lead pacer Jasprit Bumrah bowled at full-throttle.

The likes of Shubman Gill, Yashasvi Jaiswal will be aiming for a big tour and solidify their credentials as the next generation of India batting superstars.

Nayar says the senior and young players of the team had a chat during which the likes of Kohli, Bumrah and Ravichandran Ashwin talked about how they improved as a cricketer after touring Australia.

“It’s (Australia tour) one of the toughest challenges for an Indian cricketer coming here and overcoming it. We had a chat with the boys before we started. Some of the seniors boys as well – Booms (Bumrah), Kohli and Ash (Ashwin) (about)…how they first came here as youngsters with a lot of seniors around and how they felt once you finish an Australia series, you go back a better cricketer. I think a lot of the young boys are really keen, raring to make a name for themselves by the end of this tour,” Nayar said.

India bowling coach Morkel is expecting a tough fight between the two rivals.

“It’s (India vs Australia) a showpiece in the international calendar so the teams are not going to give an inch or sniff. And it’s going to be hard fought sessions,” Morkel said.

Assistant coach Ten Doeschate added,  “It’s become a big part of Indian cricket to come here (Australia) and do well. It’s obviously a proud moment that India have won twice as well as winning in India.
