Pakistan will face Australia in three ODIs and as many T20Is next month and will then travel to Zimbabwe for a three-match ODI and three-match T20I series.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) took to X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday (October 27) to announce Pakistan’s squads for the upcoming white-ball tours of Australia and Zimbabwe. The Men in Green will face Aussies in three ODIs and as many T20Is in November and then travel to Zimbabwe for three ODIs and three-match T20I series.

Star batter and former all-format captain Babar Azam is back in the Pakistan team for the white-ball tour of Australia along with pacers Shaheen Shah Afridi and Naseem Shah, but the trio has been rested for the Zimbabwe series.

Babar, Shaheen, and Naseem were dropped from Pakistan’s Test squad on October 13, and in their absence, Pakistan managed to win back-to-back Tests against England in front of home fans to seal the series.

Similarly, wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan will be available for the Australia matches and Zimbabwe ODIs but will be rested from the Zimbabwe T20Is.

In a press release, PCB also stated that board chairman Mohsin Naqvi will hold a media conference in Lahore on Sunday at 3.30 p.m. and announce the new captain of Pakistan’s white-ball teams.

Aamir Jamal, Arafat Minhas, Faisal Akram, Haseebullah, Muhammad Irfan Khan, and Saim Ayub are uncapped players in the ODI team for series against Australia, whereas Jahandad Khan and Salman Ali Agha are part of the T20I squad for the first time.

Kamran Ghulam, Omair Bin Yousuf, and Sufyan Moqim are also picked for the Australia tour, along with fast bowler Mohammad Hasnain, who last played an ODI match for Pakistan in January 2023.

For the Zimbabwe tour, Ahmed Daniyal, Haris Rauf, Haseebullah, Mohammad Hasnain, Muhammad Irfan Khan, and Tayyab Tahir, along with Salman Ali Agha, have been selected for both formats.

Aamir Jamal, Abdullah Shafique, Abrar Ahmed, Faisal Akram, Kamran Ghulam, Mohammad Rizwan, Saim Ayub, and Shahnawaz Dahani have been picked in the ODI side and will be replaced by Arafat Minhas, Jahandad Khan, Mohammad Abbas Afridi, Omair Bin Yousuf, Qasim Akram, Sahibzada Farhan, Mohammad Abbas Afridi, and Usman Khan for the shortest format of the game.

Haseebullah, Haris Rauf, Muhammad Irfan Khan, and Salman Ali Agha are the four players who will be part of the squads from the start of the Australia tour to the end of the Zimbabwe tour.
