Star all-rounder and former captain Shakib Al Hasan on Sunday (January 12) was dropped from Bangladesh’s squad for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, which is set to start on February 19. Bangladesh will open its campaign in the eight-team tournament on February 20 against India in Dubai and then face New Zealand in the second Group A match in Rawalpindi on February 24.
Najmul Hossain Shanto will lead the semifinalists of the 2017 Champions Trophy.
Mushfiqur Rahim, Mahmudullah, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, and Mustafizur Rahman are included in the squad.
