Despite Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli retiring from T20Is, the senior batters have been handed the top grade in annual retainership list announced by the BCCI on Monday.

The BCCI has announced its annual central contracts for 2024-25 season with senior players Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli alongside Jasprit Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja retained in A+ category.
Both Shreyas Iyer and Kishan, who were snubbed last year for missing domestic cricket, are back in the list of contracted players.
Wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant has been upgraded to A category.
Nitish Kumar Reddy, Harshit Rana, Abhishek Sharma and Varun Chakaravarthy get maiden BCCI central contracts, included in category C.
A+ Grade: Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah, Ravindra Jadeja
A Grade: Mohammed Siraj, KL Rahul, Shubman Gill, Hardik Pandya, Mohammed Shami, Rishabh Pant
B Grade: Suryakumar Yadav, Kuldeep Yadav, Axar Patel, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shreyas Iyer
C Grade: Rinku Singh, Tilak Verma, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Shivam Dube, Ravi Bishnoi, Washington Sundar, Mukesh Kumar, Sanju Samson, Arshdeep Singh, Prasidh Krishna, Rajat Patidar, Dhruv Jurel, Sarfaraz Khan, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Ishan Kishan, Abhishek Sharma, Akash Deep, Varun Chakaravarthy, Harshit Rana
