Ahead of the Indian squad’s departure for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy series in Australia, the Indian Head Coach, Gautam Gambhir will be a part of a press conference.
The Indian team will fly to Australia in two batches on November 10 and 11 ahead of the opening Test set to take place on November 22 at Perth.
The Indian side will be eager to put their recent series defeat against New Zealand behind them as they look to shift their focus on the task at hand as their chances of a spot in the World Test Championship are now at stake.
Many questions will be asked of the Head Coach regarding how the side will look to bounce back against the Aussies. Another major topic of concern is the availability of the Indian captain, Rohit Sharma who could miss the opening Test due to personal reasons. Expect Gambhir to be asked regarding the skipper’s availability for the first Test.
India will look to extend their winning run against the Aussies as they aim to defend the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Australia on the other hand will look to get back against their fiercest rivals and end their decade-long losing streak against India in the BGT 2024-25.
