DC Retention IPL 2025 Mega Auction: Delhi Capitals stunned everyone by not retaining their captain Rishabh Pant
After a forgettable IPL 2024, Delhi Capitals decided to retained only four players ahead of the mega auction. The franchise let go of their talisman Rishabh Pant who was associated with them since his IPL debut. DC have also made wholesale changes to their coaching staff. Hemang Badani is their new head coach while Venugopal Rao director of cricket.

All four players were retained for a combined fee of INR 43.75 Crore.
DC’s Costliest Player in Retention List: Axar Patel
Allrounder Axar has proved his worth as a wily customer contributing across departments. He can bat, bowl and is a superb fielder.
During IPL 2024, Axar took 11 wickets in 14 games and scored 235 runs in 12 innings. He became the second player to score over 50 in his captaincy debut for DC.
