WPL 2025: From Schedule To Full Squads; Take A Look At All Key Details About Delhi Capitals
The third edition of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) is set to get underway from today, February 14. Gujarat Giants and reigning champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru will feature in the opening contest of the WPL 2025. Delhi Capitals will kick off their new WPL campaign with a game against inaugural champions Mumbai Indians. The WPL 2025 fixture between Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians is scheduled to be played in Vadodara on Saturday, February 15. Delhi Capitals will be led by Meg Lanning in the third edition of the WPL. Delhi Capitals qualified for the final in the first two seasons of the WPL but on both occasions, they ended up on the losing side. They will be aiming to go the extra mile this time and win the prized trophy.
Ahead of the mini-auction, Delhi Capitals released players like Laura Harris, Poonam Yadav, Aparna Mondal and Ashwini Kumari. Overall, the franchise retained 14 players and had a budget of Rs 2.5 crore ahead of the auction.
At the mini-auction, Delhi Capitals signed Nandini Kashyap (Rs. 10 Lakh), Nallapureddy Charani (Rs. 55 Lakh), Sarah Bryce (Rs. 10 Lakh) and Niki Prasad (Rs. 10 Lakh). All-rounder Charani emerged as the most expensive signing for the Delhi Capitals at the latest mini-auction.
