Rakesh Rana who works as a manager in a hotel said he received Rs 70 lakh post-tax

A man from Uttar Pradesh’s Basti became a millionaire by forming a winning team on Dream11. The man, identified as Rakesh Rana, hails from Parspura village in Basti.
Rana was employed in a hotel while diligently working towards his Dream 11 team for the past year and a half. Despite losing lakhs of rupees in the process, Rakesh’s persistence never wavered. His determination finally paid off when he won Rs 1 crore.
Rakesh had earlier lost Rs 1.95 lakh to become a millionaire. Speaking about his victory, Rana said, “There was a 20-20 match between Sri Lanka and New Zealand, in which I too, like millions of people, had placed a bet of Rs 49 on Dream11. I won this game, and immediately my account got credited.”
Rana said that after deducting government tax, he received a total of Rs 70 lakh. He had been playing this game for about three years, in which he had also lost about Rs 1.95 lakh. Rana said that he will now fulfil his dreams with Rs 70 lakh.
Rana, who won Rs 1 crore, has been working as a manager in a hotel for about 14 years. He used to play Dream11 often and had won Rs 1,000-2,000 on several occasions.
As soon as Rana got the message of winning Rs 1 crore on his phone, he jumped with joy. He said, “All the credit for this victory goes to the hotel director Ajay Chaudhary and Tabrez Alam, who helped me a lot in playing this game and understanding its tricks.”
