Hello and welcome to our coverage of Day 1 of the third and final Test between England and Sri Lanka at the Kennington Oval, London on Friday.
Despite the series being in the bag for the home side, Sri Lanka will look to play for pride as they aim to topple the dominant hosts. The visitors have done fairly well with the bowling department but the batting unit has to step up should they have any chance of enforcing a result.
England has a lot of positives as this was the first series in the post-Broad and Anderson era. With the likes of Gus Atkinson showing positive signs along with Chris Woakes, the England fast-bowling unit could be settled for the long run.
