Although Hafeez didn’t take any name, fans speculated that it might relate to Pakistan’s star batter Babar Azam, who was dropped midway through the series.
Pakistan completed a 2-1 series win against England, defeating the visitors by 9 wickets in the third Test in Rawalpindi on Saturday. The spin duo of Noman Ali and Sajid Khan shared 20 and 19 wickets respectively, in the last two matches to put Pakistan far ahead of England after going 0-1 down in the three-match series.
A series victory seemed highly unlikely after a record-breaking England crushed the hosts in the opening Test in Multan by an innings and 47 runs. This defeat led to the unexpected exclusion of star players Babar Azam, Shaheen Shah Afridi, and pacer Naseem Shah. Their replacements, Noman and Sajid, transformed the series, taking a remarkable 39 wickets between them over the next two Tests.
Meanwhile, former all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez made a cryptic post on X after Pakistan’s terrific win, talking about exposing faces. Although he didn’t take any name, fans speculated that it might relate to Pakistan’s star batter Babar Azam, who was dropped midway through the series.
“Two faces Sajid khan & Noman Ali with star impactful performances brought home series win for Pakistan after more than 3 years. More importantly their performances exposed many faces…” Hafeez wrote.

Hafeez’s post has left the fans guessing the person the former cricketer talked about. Here’s how they reacted:

It was a measure of revenge for Pakistan, who were whitewashed 3-0 two years ago by a rampant England.
“We’d like to dedicate this to the people of Pakistan, who’ve been through a lot,” said Masood, who had lost his previous two series – 3-0 to Australia and 2-0 to Bangladesh – since taking charge last year.
“Hopefully this will put a smile on people’s faces, and hopefully we can have full houses during matches,” he added.
