Under the leadership of powerhouse batter Sanju Samson, Rajasthan Royals have crafted themselves into one of the most consistent performers in the IPL in recent years.
With Rahul Dravid brought into the mix as the new head coach, the Royals will be looking to find that missing link and once again make their way to the top after falling to Sunrisers Hyderabad in Qualifier 2 last season.
The team has kept hold of their captain Samson and star batter Yashasvi Jaiswal, but have surprisingly let go of Jos Buttler and Yuzvendra Chahal.

Letting Trent Boult was a major move, as the veteran Kiwi has consistently proven his undeniable prowess with the new ball. Now, in dire need of a pure pacer, and with Punjab Kings letting go of Indian ace Arshdeep, it would be a no brainer for RR to make a move to acquire his services and team him up with the likes of Sandeep Sharma to form a lethal duo.
David Miller
With the swashbuckling Buttler released, there exists an opening for some serious firepower in the batting ranks. Miller can definitely be the man to fill in the gap, especially in the middle order, as the experienced South African also can bring RR a much-needed clutch gene with his impeccable finishing ability.
Phil Salt
Yet another option up top to open the innings with young Jaiswal can be the thunderous Salt, who wreaked havoc at the top of the order with Kolkata Knight Riders last IPL season.
When talking about a like-for-like replacement for Buttler, Salt comes the closest. With no RTM option left for RR, Salt could be a potential target.
Noor Ahmad
Losing the leading wicket-taker in the history of the IPL in Chahal is a move that left many startled. More importantly, it also opened up the need for a spinner to control the innings in the middle overs.
Noor may not fill all the gaps that an experienced Chahal may have left behind, but the young spinner can surely hang in with the best of them, showing his potential as he tagged along with his Afghan counterpart Rashid Kahan for GT last season.
Glenn Phillips
Phillips is one of the hottest and most sought-after allrounders in short-form cricket given his rich vein of form in recent months. Sunrisers Hyderabad let go of Phillips as he mostly warmed the benches last season. At the international level, the Kiwi has showcased to the world that he is a more-than-capable spinner who can give you valuable overs in the middle and can also wallop the opposition for boundaries when in a crunch situation.
