The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) have announced that the 2025 mega-auction in the Indian Premier League is set to take place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on November 24 and 25.
Ahead of the auction, the Indian Cricket Board have also announced that 1,574 players (1,165 Indian and 409 overseas) have signed up to be part of the mega IPL 2025 Player Auction.
The list includes 320 capped players, 1,224 uncapped players, and 30 players from Associate Nations.
Among the total number of players registered, South Africa is the nation with the most players registered for the tournament with 91 players putting their name up for the auction. Both Heinrich Klaasen and Tristan Stubbs are the only players who have been retained by the Sunrisers Hyderabad and Delhi Capitals at 23 Crores INR and 10 Crores INR respectively.
Italy and the United Arab Emirates have only one player each that has registered for the 2025 auctions. It is now known who the two players are from the respective countries.

Australia will see a total of 76 players who have registered while England has just 52 individuals who could see themselves going under the hammer. The likes of Pat Cummins and Travis Head are the only Aussies that have been retained with the Sunrisers Hyderabad shelling out INR 18 crores and INR 14 crores respectively for their services.
Interestingly, Afghanistan has a total of 29 players that have put themselves in the pool of players. Rashid Khan, the skipper of the T20I side is the only player from the country that has been retained with Gujarat Titans shelling out 18 crores INR for the services of the all-rounder.
The likes of Sri Lanka, West Indies and New Zealand have 29, 33 and 39 players that have signed up to be a part of the mega-auction, set to take place later this month
Canada, Ireland, Scotland, the USA and Zimbabwe are among the associate nations where 4, 9, 2, 10 and 8 players respectively will hope to be a part of the Indian Premier League.
