West Indies finished third in the ICC Women’s ODI World Cup Qualifier 2025 with 6 points and a net run rate of +0.626 to narrowly miss out on qualifying for the ODI World Cup 2025.

The West Indies women’s cricket team chased down the target of 167 runs in just 10.4 overs on Saturday (April 19) to win the ICC Women’s World Cup Qualifier 2025 match played against Thailand at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore by 6 wickets, but despite that, they failed to qualify for the women’s 50-over mega event which is set to take place in India later this year.
The Women in Maroon needed to chase down 167 runs in 10.1 overs to pip Bangladesh in terms of net run rate and finish second in the points table and qualify for the World Cup 2025, but they failed to achieve the objective.
West Indies finished third in the ICC Women’s World Cup Qualifier 2025 with 6 points from five matches and a net run rate of +0.626, whereas Bangladesh finished the six-team qualifying tournament with 6 points and a net run rate of +0.639.
For the West Indies team, captain Hayley Matthews scored 70 runs from just 29 balls in the run chase, and No. 3 batter Chinelle Henry smashed 48 runs from 17 balls with the help of three fours and five sixes.
