The ICC meeting, initially scheduled for 5 December, will now take place on Saturday. The PCB has been once again asked to consider the hubrid model to conduct the Champions Trophy.
The meeting where the International Cricket Council (ICC) was to decide the future of the 2025 Champions Trophy has been postponed to 7 December. The Pakistan Cricket Board, the designated host for the tournament, will soon respond to the ICC with its final decision regarding the upcoming 50-over event.
As reported by India Today, the meeting, initially scheduled for 5 December, will now take place on Saturday. It has been learned that the global cricket body, during a brief discussion, has once again urged the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to agree to the hybrid model for the tournament.
The ICC had earlier told the PCB that the hybrid model was the only solution after India declined to travel to Pakistan owing to security issues. On Friday, 29 November, a short virtual meeting was held with 12 full ICC members and three associate members, but no agreement was reached.
