The ICC has opened ticket sales for the 2025 Champions Trophy in Pakistan, despite stadium renovations in Karachi, Lahore, and Rawalpindi lagging behind.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) has opened the sale of tickets for the 2025 Champions Trophy, despite host nation Pakistan’s struggles to finish the stadium renovation work by the January 30 deadline.
According to a report in PTI, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is yet to complete the renovation of the venues in Karachi, Lahore and Rawalpindi. The PCB is supposed to hand over the stadiums to the ICC on January 30.
The tournament kicks off on February 19 with a clash between Pakistan and New Zealand at the National Stadium in Karachi.
“We are thrilled to announce the official ticket on sale for the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025. This is a significant moment for cricket in Pakistan, hosting their first global cricket tournament since 1996,” ICC Chief Commercial Officer, Anurag Dahiya said in a statement.
“The Champions Trophy promises to be an unmissable event where every match counts showcasing exciting cricket, featuring the world’s best teams competing for the coveted white jackets. We encourage fans to not miss out and get their tickets now for the first Champions Trophy since 2017.”
The PCB has reportedly set the ticket prices starting at PKR 1000 (approximately Rs 310) for regular seats and the premium seating tickets will start from PKR 1500 (approximately Rs 465). Ticket sales for India’s matches in Dubai and their prices will be revealed at a later date.
“The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 is a monumental event, first in Pakistan since 1996, offering cricket fans an unparalleled chance to witness the game’s finest stars live in action as they vie for one of the most coveted trophies in cricket,” Tournament Director, Sumair Ahmad Syed said in a statement. “With Pakistan’s state-of-the-art, newly upgraded stadiums as the stage, this short and sharp tournament in which every match counts promises unforgettable moments of skill, passion and drama.”

India will begin their campaign on February 20 against Bangladesh.
