Retired India opener Navjot Singh Sidhu is winning hearts for his motivational words on the latest episode of The Great India Kapil Sharma show. Sidhu appeared as a guest on the show alongside his wife Navjot Kaur Sidhu, India spin bowling legend Harbhajan Singh and Geeta Basra. During the episode, the ex-cricketer extensively spoke about the time when his wife was fighting cancer. Talking about the changes in their lifestyle after his wife’s cancer treatment, Navjot Singh Sidhu said, “All I want to say is you can defeat cancer. If you have the will then you can.” The retired batter has now shared the segment’s clip on X (formerly Twitter). In his post, he wrote, “Cancer can be defeated.”
Fans were touched by this warm segment on the Kapil Sharma show. One of them claimed that Navjot Singh Sidhu and her wife could provide others with extensive knowledge on this matter. “I think Sidhu Paji must launch a show on how cancer can be defeated. Millions of Indians fall into desperation when they learn they’ve cancer. There can’t be anyone better than Sidhu Paji and ma’am who can teach us on this subject.”

During the same episode, Navjot Singh Sidhu discussed the various changes his wife Navjot Kaur Sidhu had to adopt after the cancer treatment. “See how much she has changed, she would eat buckets of ice cream, she would eat kurkure all night. Now, we have changed. Every morning neem, turmeric, lemon, apple cider vinegar. She even quit tea. Today, after four months, I made her have tea,” he said. He even gave the example of India’s ex-all-rounder Yuvraj Singh’s battle against cancer. Navjot Singh Sidhu claimed that Yuvraj’s journey was also a source of inspiration for several individuals.
Navjot Singh Sidhu has represented India in 51 Tests and 136 ODIs in his cricket career between 1983 and 1999. In these games, he scored 7615 runs and 15 centuries.
