The first day of the fourth Test between India and Australia went more or less in favour of the hosts. Sam Konstas, playing first Test of his career, had a brilliant innings of 60 runs. Especially the way this teenager faced Jasprit Bumrah was commendable. Later, Bumrah made a good comeback and took 3 wickets on the first day.
The highlight of the first days play was the on-field altercation between Virat Kohli and Sam Konstas. Due to this incident, Kohli was also fined 20 percent of the match fee.
