The BCCI unveiled a 15-man India squad for the four-match T20I series in South Africa on Friday night.
India have announced a 15-man squad for the upcoming four-match T20I tour of South Africa. Fast bowling duo of Yash Dayal and Vijaykumar Vyshak along with top-order batter Ramandeep Singh have been handed their maiden T20I call-ups.

India’s T20I squad is set to play a four-match T20I series against South Africa and will play their first T20I in Durban on 8th November with Suryakumar Yadav captaining the squad.
Both Mayank Yadav and Shivam Dube were not considered for the tour due to injuries, the BCCI said in a release. Middle-order batter Riyan Parag was also unavailable as he’s undergoing rehabilitation at the BCCI Centre of Excellence for a “long term resolution of his chronic right shoulder injury.”
The likes of Washington Sundar and Nitish Kumar Reddy aren’t part of the squad since both have been picked for the five-match Test tour of Australia which gets underway from November 22.
Dayal was part of India’s Test squad for Bangladesh series but was released without getting any game. The left-arm pacer represents Uttar Pradesh in domestic cricket and Royal Challengers Bengaluru in IPL. He has taken 53 wickets from 56 T20s at an economy of 8.46.
On the other hand, this is the first time that Vyshak has been given an international call-up. He’s a right-arm fast bowler who plays for Karnataka in domestic cricket and RCB in IPL. In 30 T20s, the 27-year-old has 42 wickets at an economy of 8.29.
Ramandeep is a top-order batter for Punjab who was part of Kolkata Knight Riders’ IPL 2024 winning squad. He was part of India A squad that took part in the Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2024. In 56 T20s, the 27-year-old has scored 480 runs at a strike-rate of 167.83.
