According to a report, the Indian team management has taken “drastic measures” to keep their training secret.

The Indian men’s cricket team is reportedly set to play a three-day intra-squad match in the lead up to their upcoming five-match Test series against Australia. The warm-up match is expected to be get underway from Friday but will be held inside closed doors with general public not allowed.

According to The West Australian, the Indian team management has banned the WACA Ground staff from recording the training sessions using their phones and using some part of the precinct. The likes of Rishabh Pant, Yashasvi Jaiswal and KL Rahul have started gearing up for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

The report further claims that the tourists have taken measures to guard their training sessions with a handful of net bowlers allowed.

The publication further reported that such has been the secrecy surrounding India’s preparations for the Test series that even Cricket Australia officials weren’t aware of the details of the team’s arrival in Perth.

The level of security measures around India have been compared to the one the team resorted to when they made Perth as their base for the 2022 T20 World Cup.
