Drinks break! India have made an ideal start to the day, claiming three crucial wickets in the first hour. The pitch seems to have quickened, giving batters little time to adjust and adding to their challenges. Steven Smith stands as Australia’s anchor, a role he has perfected over the years. Showing glimpses of intent against Prasidh Krishna in his previous over, Smith might look to carry that approach forward, aiming to shift the pressure back onto the Indians and disrupt the bowlers’ lines and lengths in this crucial phase of the session.

15.6 – Tap and run! Just too full and around off, with a hint of an away shape. Webster presses forward and places it between cover-point for a quick single.

15.4 – Hard length, on the stumps, Webster knocks it to the cover-point region and tries to get to the other end but Smith sends him back on a sharp call. Webster obeys and turns around to retreat and gets back home. Washington Sundar is quick to react as he picks and throws in a motion at the batter’s end to restrict a single.
