India (IND) vs Bangladesh (BAN) 2nd Test, Day 5 LIVE: Hello and welcome to our coverage of Day 5 of the 2nd Test between India and Bangladesh taking place at the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur on Tuesday.
We are all set for a cracker of a final day with the Indian team in pole position to go all the way. It took a herculean effort from the batting unit to help them take the first innings lead.
Now it will be up to the Indian bowling unit to follow suit and hopefully get all eight remaining wickets to end Bangladesh’s batting innings and also give enough time for the Indian batters to chase down whatever the target may be.
As for the weather, the good news is that it is very unlikely that we get to see rain interrupt play on the final day. With play likely to go on till 5 PM (IST), Rohit Sharma and co will look to go all-out in hopes of securing a win.
At the moment it is only Ravichandran Ashwin who has been able to get the two wickets so far. It is only natural to expect the classy Jasprit Bumrah to get himself back in the game at some point to deliver some cracking deliveries.
With the Indian team all rested up for the final day’s play, one thing is for certain, fans at the stadium and those watching from across the globe are in for an entertaining day’s play.
