The Indian cricket team will be aiming for a whitewash when they take on England in the third and final ODI of the series on Wednesday, February 12. The third ODI, between India and England, is scheduled to be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The hosts kicked off the ODI series on a promising note with a four-wicket victory in the opening contest, played in Nagpur. India continued the momentum in the next fixture and recorded another convincing four-wicket triumph in Cuttack. India skipper Rohit Sharma produced a fabulous knock of 119 during the run chase to earn a crucial win for his side.
Along with a win, fans will now also want Virat Kohli to pull off a big knock in the final ODI in Ahmedabad. Kohli’s return to form will certainly be a big boost for fans and Indian team management ahead of the Champions Trophy. Kohli is currently 89 runs short of becoming only the third batter in history to score 14,000 runs in the 50-over format.
India may include players like Rishabh Pant, Arshdeep Singh, Kuldeep Yadav and Washington Sundar in the playing XI for the third ODI. Kuldeep did feature in the first match of the series and claimed one wicket for 53 runs but he was rested for the second game. Players like Arshdeep, Pant and Sundar are yet to be a part of the playing XI. They may get a chance in the series ahead of the Champions Trophy.
