India Women vs Australia Women 1st ODI Live Streaming: The Indian women’s cricket team will kick off their tour of Australia from Thursday when the two teams square off for the first ODI of a three-match series. India will head into the tour after a 2-1 ODI series victory over New Zealand at home.
The first ODI of the three-match series will take place at the Allan Border Field in Brisbane. The two teams had last faced each other in ODIs earlier this year in January and Australia had won that contest by 190 runs.
The upcoming ODI series against Australia will be an important assignment for the Indian team ahead of next year’s Women’s ODI World Cup.
Their record Down Under is not much impressive having secured four wins out of sixteen ODI meetings. In the last series, which was held in 2021, Australia got the better of India by a margin of 2-1.
In the three-match ODI series against Australia, the Indian women’s team will be led by Harmanpreet Kaur. India will be without the likes of Shafali Verma and Yastika Bhatia. While Shafali was dropped due to dip in form, Bhatia was ruled out having suffered a wrist injury in the Women’s Big Bash League.
Meanwhile, the hosts will feature in the series without their regular captain Alyssa Healy, who is out with a knee injury. In the absence of Healy, the hosts will feature under the captaincy of Tahlia McGrath while Ashleigh Gardner will serve as the vice-captain.
