The 2025 edition of the ICC Champions Trophy is set to start on Wednesday (February 19) with a match between defending champions Pakistan and New Zealand at National Stadium in Karachi. World No. 1 ODI team India will open its campaign on Thursday (February 20) against Bangladesh at Dubai International Cricket Stadium and then take on archrivals Pakistan in the second Group A match in Dubai on Sunday, February 23.
The Indian team will start the eight-team tournament as favourites to win the title, and it will be interesting to see if the Rohit Sharma-led side manages to live up to the pre-tournament expectations in Dubai and wins a second ICC trophy in less than 10 months.
India is the most successful team in the history of the Champions Trophy and is coming into the tournament on the back of securing a 3-0 win over England in the home series.
