Jasprit Bumrah will play for India in the three-match ODI series against England which is set to start on February 6 in Nagpur. The 31-year-old fast bowler’s participation in the home series was doubtful due to back injury but he was named in the 15-member squad announced by chief selector Ajit Agarkar in Mumbai on Saturday, January 18.
Rohit Sharma will lead India in the home series and Bumrah will be his deputy. Star fast bowler Mohammed Shami who last played for India in the ODI World Cup 2023 final is also included in the ODI squad but there was no place for Karun Nair and Sanju Samson.
