Chennai Super Kings will face Sunrisers Hyderabad in their ninth league match of IPL 2025 on Friday, April 25. The match is scheduled to take place at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Ahead of CSK’s must-win match against the Orange Army, former Indian middle-order batter Ambati Rayudu suggests three things the MS Dhoni-led side should do in the remainder of the IPL season.
While speaking in a video shared by Star Sports on X, Rayudu, who has now donned the hat of an expert and commentator, said that CSK batters should show a lot of fearlessness, and batters coming in should come with a positive intent and look to score early in their innings. He also wants the five-time champions to give more chances to youngsters in the remaining matches.
“The three things that CSK should do in the remainder of the season, number one, the intent in batting – to show a lot of fearlessness – and also batsmen coming in should come with a lot of positive intent and look to score early in their innings as well, not only once they are set, because the game has moved on and you need to play at a much better strike rate,” Rayudu said.
“The second thing that CSK really needs to do this season is try out a lot of youngsters and also identify the guys with a lot of character and also the fight in them going into the next season because you need to build a team. Definitely for this season you are still in the game; you can try your best but definitely build a young side and a side that will really fight on the ground for the next season,” he continued.
“The third thing that CSK should do this season is not give up. Why? Because you have won this (IPL) five times. So still, I hope that you don’t lose hope and fight each match as if it’s your last, and you know, don’t give up till the end. That’s my three things on CSK to do this season,” Rayudu added.
