Royal Challengers Bengaluru bought Bhuvneshwar Kumar for Rs 10.75 crore as the Indian pacer rejoned RCB.

India pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar sold to Royal Challengers Bengaluru for Rs 10.75 crore at the IPL mega auction in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on Monday.
His valuation shot up from his base price of Rs 2 crore as RCB and Mumbai Indians jostled for their man.
He rejoined RCB as Bhuvi’s first Indian Premier League franchise was RCB, staying with the now-defunct Royal Challengers Bangalore for 2009 and 2010.
Bhuvneshwar could not do much for SRH in IPL 2024, taking 11 wickets from 16 matches, with his economy rate being 9.35. Overall, Bhuvneshwar has a lot of experience playing IPL, having taken 181 wickets in 176 matches.
Bhuvneshwar, who will be 35 before the start of next IPL, has 300 wickets from 287 career T20 games and an economy rate of less than eight. But he last played for India during a tour of New Zealand in November 2022 and is considered well past his prime at the international level.
