Mohammed Siraj was purchased for Rs 12.25 crore after his former franchise, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), opted not to exercise their Right To Match card.
Mohammed Siraj will join the Gujarat Titans for the 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL) season. The Indian pacer was purchased for Rs 12.25 crore after his former franchise, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), opted not to exercise their Right To Match card.
Gujarat Titans were the most persistent bidder for Siraj, with Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings also showing interest. GT and CSK engaged in a bidding war, driving Siraj’s price up to Rs 8 crore before Chennai withdrew. The Royals then entered the fray, battling with the Titans until the IPL 2022 champions secured the Hyderabad pacer for INR 12.25 crore.
The Gujarat Titans will be Siraj’s third franchise in the IPL since his debut, for SRH, in 2017.
