IPL 2025 Points Table, Orange Cap and Purple Cap after MI vs SRH:

Mumbai Indians made it two wins in a row after they beat Sunrisers Hyderabad by four wickets at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Thursday.

After choosing to bowl first, SRH were restricted to just 162 runs for the loss of five wickets in 20 overs. But Mumbai went on to chase it fairly comfortably with 11 balls to spare.

Will Jacks played a key role with both bat and ball to help Mumbai Indians take the win. He was the pick of the bowlers with two wickets whilst giving away just 14 runs in the three overs bowled. With the bat, he played a steady knock of 36, the highest scorer for MI after facing 26 deliveries.

Despite MI getting their second consecutive win, they remain at seventh position with their inferior net run-rate. Meanwhile the Sunrisers Hyderabad are just about avoiding rock-bottom after they managed to drag out the final stretch of the second innings against MI having only amassed four points but their marginally superior net run-rate pushes them above Chennai Super Kings.

In the run-scoring charts, Suryakumar Yadav makes his way up to fourth spot after his brief cameo of 26 in 15 balls. He now has 265 runs to his name and has overtaken the likes of Virat Kohli and Shreyas Iyer, who will be in action in tomorrow’s game.

From the SRH camp, their explosive opening pair of Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma make strides in the run-scoring charts. Travis Head jumps to seventh in the list with 242 runs after his knock of 28 while Abhishek Sharma breaks into the top 10 rankings after scoring 40 runs in today’s game.

In the wicket-taking charts, the MI skipper, Hardik Pandya, has taken himself up to fourth in the list and remains level alongside the likes of Khaleel Ahmed and Kuldeep Yadav with 11 wickets each. Pandya’s inferior average puts him at fourth but the interesting aspect is that he has only played six games in this year’s tournament.

Pandya struggled with injury in his first over but managed to bounce back with the big wicket of Abhishek Sharma to get things going in favour of the five-time champions.
