IPL 2025 Points Table, Orange Cap and Purple Cap after RCB vs PBKS: Punjab Kings chased down the target of 96 runs in 12.1 overs on Friday (April 18) to win the IPL 2025 match played against Royal Challengers Bengaluru at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru by 5 wickets. Nehal Wadhera remained unbeaten on 33 runs from 19 balls for PBKS in the rain-hit match after the Shreyas Iyer-led side restricted Rajat Patidar & Co. to just 95 runs in 14 overs.
The win in Bengaluru helped Punjab Kings rise to the No. 2 position in the IPL 2025 points table, whereas RCB have dropped to the No. 4 position with 8 points from seven matches played so far.

Orange Cap
Tim David remained unbeaten on 50 runs from 26 balls for RCB, but the likes of Rajat Patidar, Virat Kohli and Phil Salt failed to do much with the bat. While Patidar scored 23 runs from 18 balls with the help of one four and one six, Kohli and Salt were sent back to the pavilion for 1 and 4 runs, respectively, by Arshdeep Singh.
In the 96-run chase, Priyansh Arya (16) and Prabhsimran Singh (13) helped PBKS get off to a flying start, but they failed to convert their innings into a big knock. However Priyansh’s 16-run knock helped him leapfrog Abhishek Sharma and take No. 10 position in Orange Cap leaderboard. Shreyas Iyer scored 7 runs from 10 balls and he remained at No. 5 position in list of leading run getters with a total of 257 runs to his name in seven matches played so far.

Josh Hazlewood dismissed three PBKS batters for 13 runs in three overs on Friday, and his best figures of IPL 2025 helped him take second position in the list of bowlers with the most wickets in the IPL this year. He has picked up 12 wickets in seven matches for the Bengaluru-based franchise.
For Punjab Kings, Arshdeep Singh, Yuzvendra Chahal, Harpreet Brar and Marco Jansen picked up two wickets each in Bengaluru to restrict the home team to 96/9 in 14 overs. The figures of 2 for 23 in two overs helped Arshdeep extend his tally of wickets to 10 in seven IPL matches this year, and he now sits at the No. 11 position in the Purple Cap leaderboard.
