Punjab Kings Player Retention Update: Check out the full list of retained players announced by PBKS today.
The Punjab Kings go in search of their maiden IPL title as they gear up for the mega auction that could very well dictate the fortunes of the sides ahead of the 2025 edition of the money-rich T20 franchise league.
Punjab announced that they would retain the services of two uncapped players, Shashank Singh and Prabhsimran Singh for the prices of Rs 5.5 Crores and Rs 4 Crores respectively.
Punjab will go into the mega auction with the biggest purse as they look to splurge at the table to give new head coach Ponting the best opportunity to assemble a unit that could potentially give the Mohali-based side their first piece of silverware.

Shashank, who grabbed the limelight with his heroics last season, and Prabhsimran, who has opened the innings for the Punjabi unit for a couple of years now, have been retained.
PBKS have been on the quest for glory since the inaugural edition, but have not managed to get their hands on the coveted trophy, but are under new stewardship with the arrival of Australian Ricky Ponting.
Owners Preity Zinta, Ness Wadia, Karan Paul and Mohit Burman would likely look to instil a winning mentality in the team with the appointment of the World Cup winner.
