IPL 2025 Points Table, Orange Cap and Purple Cap after RR vs LSG: Lucknow Super Giants beat Rajasthan Royals by two runs in the IPL 2025 match played at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Saturday (April 19). The Lucknow-based franchise, after opting to bat first, posted a total of 180 runs on the board and then successfully defended it by restricting Men in Pink to 178 for 5. RR needed nine runs in the final over of the match bowled by Avesh Khan, but the Madhya Pradesh-based cricketer only conceded six runs and extended RR’s losing run to four matches in a row.
The win over RR helped LSG pip RCB and take the No. 4 position in the points table, whereas RR remained at 8th.
Earlier in the afternoon match, Gujarat Titans beat Delhi Capitals by 7 wickets in Ahmedabad to take the No. 1 position. The 2022 champions have 10 points and a net run rate of +0.984. DC are in second place with 10 points and net run rate of +0.589.

Orange Cap
Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 74 runs from 52 balls for RR in the 181-run chase against Lucknow Super Giants. He hammered five fours and four sixes during his stay at the crease. The fourth fifty in this year’s IPL helped Jaiswal extend his tally of runs to 307 in eight matches, and he now sits at the No. 4 position in the list of leading run getters.
LSG’s Nicholas Pooran scored 11 runs from eight balls in Jaipur to retake the No. 1 position from GT’s Sai Sudharsan, who made 36 runs from 21 balls against Delhi Capitals in the afternoon match played at Narendra Modi Stadium. His GT teammate Jos Buttler remained unbeaten on 97 runs from 54 balls in the 204-run chase, and he now sits at the No. 3 position in the Orange Cap leaderboard with a total of 315 runs in seven matches.
LSG’s Mitchell Marsh is in fifth position with 299 runs in seven matches, and his opening partner Aiden Markram, after scoring 66 runs from 45 balls in the first half of the RR-LSG match, has moved to sixth place. The South African T20I captain has amassed a total of 274 runs in eight IPL 2025 matches.

Purple Cap
Gujarat Titans fast bowler Prasidh Krishna picked up four wickets for 41 runs in four overs on Saturday afternoon against Delhi Capitals to extend his tally of 14 wickets in seven matches and take the No. 1 position in the list of leading wicket-takers in the IPL this year. He is followed by DC’s Kuldeep Yadav (12 wickets), CSK’s Noor Ahmad (12 wickets), RCB’s Josh Hazlewood (12 wickets) and LSG’s Shardul Thakur (12 wickets).
R Sai Kishore and Mohammed Siraj also got rid of one DC batter each at Narendra Modi Stadium, and with 11 wickets each to their names, they now sit at the No. 6 and 7 positions, respectively, in the Purple Cap leaderboard.
