NEW DELHI: The player auction for the 2026 season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) kicked off on Tuesday in Abu Dhabi. A total of 350 players are set to go under the hammer.Capped batters came up for bidding in the first round. There were no marquee sets in a mini-auction.Jake Fraser-McGurk was the first player to go under the hammer, but he went unsold in the initial round. While DC got David Miller for Rs 2 crore.Then came Cameron Green, emerging as the biggest buy of the day, as Kolkata Knight Riders signed the Australian all-rounder for Rs 25.20 crore at Abu Dhabi on Tuesday. KKR then entered at Rs 2.8 crore. RR exited at around Rs 13 crore. Chennai Super Kings then entered the contest and pushed the price past Rs 20 crore.
