Gujarat Titans skipper Shubman Gill was left surprised by a query from commentator Danny Morrison during the toss time on Monday.

When Shubman Gill walked out for toss for his IPL franchise Gujarat Titans’ match against Kolkata Knight Riders at Eden Gardens, the last thing he would’ve hoped to be asked was about his marriage. However, that’s exactly what transpired as commentator Danny Morrison left the GT captain blushing by first complimenting on his appearance before quickly asking if he plans to get married anytime soon.
“Look at you? You are looking lovely! No wedding bells? What’s happening? Getting married?” Morrison said.
Gill replied, “No. Nothing of that sort!”
The 25-year-old opening batter produced a sparkling show against his former franchise as he smacked 90 off 55 to set up a match-winning total of 198/3. His innings was laced with 10 fours and three sixes.
Gill’s opening partner Sai Sudharsan peeled off yet another half-century to become the leading run-scorer of the ongoing season. He made 52 off 36 while Jos Buttler made an unbeaten 41 off 23.
In reply, the defending champions managed 159/8 in 20 overs with captain Ajinkya Rahane hitting a half-century. Only Angkrish Raghuvanshi (27*) and Andre Russell (21) were the other two batters who managed to cross 20-run mark for KKR.
