Ivy had also spoken to former India head coach Ravi Shastri ahead of David Warner’s farewell Test series last year.
Australia cricket legend David Warner’s young daughter Ivy seems to be preparing for a future career in broadcast media. Pictures of Ivy interviewing some of the legends of the game days before the first Test between India and Australia gets underway have been shared by her proud father Warner.
“Ivy is back at it again, interviewing some legends of the game and broadcasters. The summer of cricket is here,” Warner wrote in a post on his official Instagram.
Warner also shared a series of pictures in which Ivy is speaking to and posing alongside the likes of Shastri, Allan Border, Brett Lee, Michael Vaughan and Harsha Bhogale.
Warner, who retired from international cricket earlier this year, will be on commentary duties during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy that starts from November 22 in Perth.
India have had an eventful build-up to the five-match tour that saw them suffer a historic Test series whitewash at the hands of New Zealand at home. Apart from the iffy form of their top batters including captain Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, the team is also battling with fitness concerns.
Fast bowler Mohammed Shami seems to have recovered and recently played in his first competitive match in over a year. However, it’s not certain if Shami will have any role to play during the India-Australia Tests given he’s not part of the original squad.
Shubman Gill reportedly will not be part of the series opener after fracturing this thumb while fielding during a match simulation in the lead up to the Perth Test. KL Rahul also had an injury scare after copping a blow to his elbow but brushed it off by returning to training on Sunday. There was also a report that Virat Kohli underwent a scan in Australia for a mystery injury.
India have returned home victorious with a similar scoreline of 2-1 from their previous tours of Australia and are aiming for a hat-trick this time around.
