Jammu and Kashmir beat star-studded Mumbai by 5 wickets on Saturday (January 25) to win the Ranji Trophy Elite Group A match played at Sharad Pawar Cricket Academy BKC in Mumbai. The Paras Dogra-led side chased down the target of 205 runs in 47.3 overs for the loss of just five wickets.
For Mumbai, Shams Mulani picked up four wickets in the second innings, but his effort went in vain as Mumbai failed to win the match.
It was a disappointing result for the 42-time Ranji champions, who fielded a star-studded line-up for the match. In addition to India captain Rohit Sharma, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Ajinkya Rahane, Shreyas Iyer, Shardul Thakur, and Shivam Dube, who are India players, were part of Mumbai’s playing XI.
