By taking Usman Khawaja and Marnus Labuschagne’s wickets in the second innings of the ongoing third Test against Australia, Bumrah has extended his tally of wickets to 52 in 10 Tests played so far in Australia.

Star Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah created history on Wednesday (December 18) by becoming India’s most successful Test bowler in Australia. Bumrah broke Kapil Dev’s record of 51 wickets during the second session of the fifth day’s play of the ongoing third Test at the Gabba. Bumrah opened his wicket account in the second innings, first by removing Usman Khawaja (8) and then in the next over got rid of Marnus Labuschagne.
While Khawaja was clean bowled by the legendary Indian pacer, Labuschagne was caught behind by Rishabh Pant.
Bumrah has 52 wickets to his name in 10 Tests played so far in Australia, whereas Kapil Dev finished his career with 51 wickets in 11 Tests played on Australian soil.
