Bumrah has three five-wicket hauls to his name in 10 Test matches played so far in England.

Jasprit Bumrah is arguably India’s best fast bowler of all time, and on Sunday (June 22), he entered his name in the history books by becoming the first bowler from India to take three five-wicket hauls in Test matches played on English soil.
Bumrah is leading India’s bowling attack in the ongoing first Test against England at Headingley in Leeds, and he picked up 5 wickets for 83 runs in the first innings.
A total of nine Indian bowlers have picked up two five-wicket hauls in England, but Bumrah has three fifers to his name in 10 matches.
Bumrah has played nine Tests for India against England in England and one against New Zealand in England (in 2021, WTC Final). He remained wicketless in the 2021 WTC final but has 42 wickets to his name in nine Tests played so far against England.

Bumrah picked his first five-wicket haul for India in England at Trent Bridge in Nottingham during the 2018 series, and in 2021, he once again dismissed five England batters in an innings at Trent Bridge.

Equals Ashwin’s record
The fifer in the first innings of the Leeds Test also helped Bumrah equal Ravichandran Ashwin’s record of most five-wicket hauls (11) in the WTC. Ashwin played 41 WTC matches for India and picked up 11 fifers, whereas Bumrah has 11 fifers to his name in just 36 matches. Australia’s Pat Cummins and Nathan Lyon have 10 fifers each to their name in WTC.
