J&K veteran batter Paras Dogra etched his name into Ranji Trophy history, as he became the second-highest run-scorer in the history of the tournament during his innings against Services at Srinagar on Saturday.
J&K rolled Services over for 71 in the first session before No. 4 Dogra braved a batting collapse to reach the milestone.
Notably, Dogra has previously played for India ‘A’ and represented his home state Himachal Pradesh before moving to Pondicherry for the 2018/19 to 2023/24 seasons.

Paras Dogra, who made his debut in 2001, has accumulated an impressive 9604 runs in 135 first-class matches at an average of 49.76, which also includes 31 centuries and 33 half-centuries.
Dogra represented Himachal in 95 Ranji matches, racking up over 6418 runs with 19 hundreds and 24 fifties before moving to Puducherry in 2018.
After that, the batter took his talents to J&K this season after, Dogra became Puducherry’s first Ranji Trophy centurion and piled up 11 hundreds across five seasons.
Among active players, Dogra has the most Ranji hundreds (30), whilst lying third on the all-time list, only behind Jaffer (40) and Ajay Sharma (31).
He also holds the prestige of being the batter with the joint-most double hundreds (9) in Ranji history, with Cheteshwar Pujara.
