Ravindra Jadeja was batting on 8 runs from six balls when he tried to play a big shot against Zeeshan Ansari on the last ball of the seventh over of CSK’s innings during their IPL 2025 match against Sunrisers Hyderabad at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. But he failed to connect the ball properly, and it went straight up. Harshal Patel had a chance to complete a simple catch, but he dropped a dolly to give a lifeline to Jadeja.
After Harshal dropped Jadeja’s catch, SRH owner Kavya Maran, who was watching the match from the stands, lost her cool and gave a shocking reaction which is now going viral on the internet.
In the viral clip, Maran can be seen cursing the player for his mistake on the field.

Jadeja failed to make the most of the lifeline and returned back to the pavilion after scoring 21 runs from 17 balls with the help of one four and one six.
Harshal, on the other hand, was SRH’s best bowler on Friday. He bowled four overs and picked up four wickets for 28 runs. His figures of 4 for 28 helped the Pat Cummins-led side bowl CSK out for 154 runs in 19.5 overs.

Sunrisers Hyderabad snapped the losing run of two matches on Friday by getting the better of Chennai Super Kings by 5 wickets. The Hyderabad-based franchise chased down the 155-run target for the loss of five wickets in 18.4 overs. For SRH, wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan scored 44 runs from 34 balls. Apart from him, Sri Lankan all-rounder Kamindu Mendis remained unbeaten on 32 runs from 22 balls. He added 49 runs for the sixth wicket with Nitish Kumar Reddy.
How CSK can qualify for playoffs?
Chennai Super Kings have lost seven out of nine league matches played so far, and with 4 points, the MS Dhoni-led side sits at the bottom of the IPL 2025 points table. CSK will only qualify for the playoffs if they win all of their remaining five matches by a big margin and not more than three teams finish the league stage campaign with 14 points.
