KKR retained six players from the 2024 squad for Rs 69 crore and will enter the IPL 2025 mega auction with a purse of Rs 51 crore.

Defending champions KKR splashed out Rs 57 crore to retain six players from the IPL 2024 squad. But despite that, the Shah Rukh Khan-owned side will enter the IPL 2025 mega auction with a purse of Rs 51 crore only, as an additional Rs 12 crore has been deducted from the team’s account due to IPL 2025 retention rules.

KKR’s Costliest Player in Retention List

The Kolkata Knight Riders have retained their Superstar batter Rinku Singh as the costliest player. The left-hander has been part of the franchise since 2018 and following his consistency with the bat and fieldwork, he has received a massive monetary boost in his salary. Rinku has played 45 matches for the KKR and scored 893 runs, striking at 143.34. He has 4 half-centuries to his credit.

KKR are the defending champions. They won the IPL 2024 after defeating Pat Cummins-led Sunrisers Hyderabad by 8 wickets in the season finale that took place at Chepauk, Chennai.
