Indian photographer Radhik touched on some interesting topics in his latest ‘Ask Me Anything’ session on Reddit, as he revealed that the high-profile wedding of Kohli and his wife Anushka was his favourite project.

Celebrated Indian wedding photographer Joseph Radhik has answered some interesting questions about his career and photography on social media. Radhik recently engaged with his followers in an Ask Me Anything (AMA) session on Reddit. In his post, the famous photographer invited questions on topics related to his field and celebrity weddings. “Hi, it’s me Joseph Radhik! Ask me anything about photography, portraits, weddings and more! [AMA],” he wrote while sharing a snap of himself. Radhik’s post led to several users asking him about the Ambani wedding, his journey and many other topics.
In one of the questions, Radhik was asked about what made him choose photography as a career. The 41-year-old responded, “After 1.5 years of scouring the internet, I photographed a friend’s wedding, one image went a bit viral on Facebook/Flickr. Within 11 months, I had to quit my job and taken this up full-time. That’s the short story of it,” he said.
One user asked Radhik if he enjoyed his experience at the Ambani wedding. He also asked the photographer about his insights and how his team was hired for the event. Replying to the question, the Indian photographer wrote, “It was so much fun! We were hired by the Ambani family, and a little-known fact about us is that we’ve photographed the other two sibling’s weddings as well.”
While Radhik enjoyed his time at the Ambani wedding, he didn’t capture his best photograph at that event. When another user enquired about the story behind his ‘best’ snap, Radhik revealed that Virat Kohli and his wife Anushka Sharma’s wedding photograph was his favourite. “There is a photo of Anushka and Virat on their wedding day, in black and white, with him kissing on her forehead. That is easily my favourite photo because it looks posed but is 100 per cent documentary. I was just grinning wide when clicking the shutter,” he wrote.
Speaking further, Radhik also revealed that Kohli and Sharma’s wedding project was quite dear to him. “2017’s Anushka and Virat’s wedding continues to be very close to my heart. But by 2020-24 all I have had such incredibly heartwarming projects, with every year having at least one breakthrough photo set,” he wrote.
Radhik has had an illustrious career recording the most intimate and extravagant celebrations of love. From capturing the weddings of sporting stars like Virat Kohli and PV Sindhu to being involved in the marriage ceremonies of Bollywood stars like Katrina Kaif, Radhik has done it all. With 2024 coming to a close, Radhik will now already have his eyes set on new projects next year.
